Family photos and slides often hold the most precious memories that people have. At Home Video Services, we have over a decade of experience handling and scanning images in order to preserve and deliver them in a format that is easy to view and share.
All photos that you bring into our studio are scanned at high resolution and delivered properly cropped and oriented so they are ready to view on you favourite digital device, whether it be your laptop, tablet, smartphone or smart TV. These image files can even be uploaded to your cloud service to view and share any time.
When transferring transparent images such as as 35mm slides we treat each image individually, scanning and cropping each one to create a perfect digital picture. Additionally, each slide will be correctly oriented and digitally color-corrected to restore any color shifts that may have occurred in the emulsion over time.
Your pictures will be delivered to you in the format of your choice. We can provide them on an archival scratch-resistant DVD, CD or USB thumb drive that you may bring into our studio or purchase from us, if that's more convenient. Ask us about providing you with our combo DVD slideshow and image archive disc which allows you to both watch your photos on a DVD player and copy them to a computer for sharing and archiving.
Do you have a special request for scanning? Perhaps you have an unusual format of an image, slide or negative that you're not sure can be professionally scanned? Let us know. We have worked with most formats of slides and negatives. Additionally, if you have a photo that is in need of some special restoration to perhaps remove a scratch or if portions of the image need repair or color and contrast enhancement, we are equipped to digitally bring photos back to beautiful condition.
